Sasaab is located in the Westgate Community Conservancy, west of Samburu and Buffalo Springs National Reserves in Kenya’s Northern Frontier District. Sasaab is committed to operating in a sustainable, environmentally friendly manner and is one of the few Gold eco-rated properties in Kenya. The lodge generates all its power and hot water via solar panels and embraces the national guidelines for operating in the most eco-conscious way. Sasaab has seven individual rooms and one family unit. The lodge can accommodate up to 18 guests. Each room is over 100 m2 and has magnificent, elevated views overlooking the Ewaso Nyiro River. All rooms have private plunge pools and private en-suite open-air bathrooms with showers and double sinks. Each room has its own private plunge pool. There is a central infinity pool with sunbeds and a pizza oven, Wi-Fi in the rooms only and Spa with a gym and a pool. Each room has mosquito nets over the beds. All rooms have showers and handmade Kenyan toiletries, dressing gowns and flip flops provided There are in-room safes and each room has a fan. Hairdryers are available on request. There are cooler in rooms with a selection of drinks Laundry service included; due to cultural reasons, washing powder is provided for ladies to wash their underwear. Guest are given a "Gym In A Bag", each bag contains a yoga mat, skipping rope and post-safari stretch card. During the time here, the guest can enjoy guided walks, bird watching, stargazing, swimming and visit SpaSaab, going for a game drive in Samburu National Reserve or in the Westgate Conservancy. Guests can start the day amidst pristine wilderness with delicious bush breakfast and cap off the days’ activities by dining under the stars with a bush dinner and also explore the area the traditional way by camel or opt to buzz around the bush on an ATV. Guests can immerse themselves in Samburu culture and visit an authentic local village or witness traditional ceremonial dance and sip on sundowners at our special viewpoints and drift off to sleep under the Milky Way in our fly camp. Children are welcome and under-threes stay free. Extra beds are available on request.
