In the beautiful Salina island in the archipelago of the Aeolian Islands, Sicily, is La Locanda Del Postino. A charming sustainable, family run resort hotel with epic views, delicious food and great vibes. A traditionally restored farmhouse with 10 lovely rooms, it’s a great place to come and get away from it all. To the west it faces the sea, whit the splendid sunset on the silhouettes of the islands of Alicudi and Filicudi; to the east, it is surrounded by a rocky amphitheatre, witness to what 13,000 years ago was the largest crater of the Aeolian Islands (1 km in diameter).
La Locanda del Postino has the Ecolabel certification issued by the EU for its efforts towards sustainability. Plastic packaging has been eliminated and are no longer used at the hotel, all food products are locally sourced, and rainwater is collected and used for irrigation and drainage. The entire hotel has been built and renovated with sustainability in mind.
Wine tasting, diving, mountain walks, yoga, boat trips and cooking courses are all available at La Locanda Del Postino.
