Description

Heckfield Place is one of our personal favourites as we had the privilege to visit in September 2020 to investigate. It was absolutely wonderful! Once a Georgian family home, the restored estate of Heckfield Place is now a stunning hotel retreat on 400 acres of secluded and charming landscape. With a strong drive for sustainability and natural home living, Heckfield Place makes for the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of life’s stresses. A beautiful piece of English history in the heart of the rolling Hampshire countryside.

In the House and the Corridors, each bedroom offers a different aspect and connection to the grounds. From bespoke English oak furniture to mats handwoven from rushes harvested on the River Ouse, comfort and character are written in the natural materials and meticulous craftsmanship found throughout.

Enjoy plenty of dining options and a luxurious spa

Marle at Heckfield Place is one of the restaurants on site. Using the freshest ingredients from the land with traditional cooking techniques, guests and non-guests can enjoy the best of English cuisine.

Centered around an open fire and using traditional and simple cooking methods, Hearth at Heckfield Place is the other restaurant option available to guests. Using the freshest local ingredients for the seasonal menus, there is a wide variety of excellent food on offer.

If that was not enough, you can have afternoon tea at the Glasshouse, an upper walled garden conservatory serving freshly baked cakes and treats made with local ingredients. And once the sun sets, head to the Moon Bar, an intimate meeting place nestled in the centre of the house where guests can enjoy a wide selection of handmade cocktails and collection of spirits.

The Little Bothy Spa offers guests a range of fresh treatments and massages, as well as personal training, pilates, yoga, and bodyism.

Cosy rooms make the Church Lodge a home away from home, with small sitting room, study, dining room and kitchen downstairs and up a windy staircase to 2 teeny bedrooms with a bathroom and dressing room. Perfect for families.

Heckfield Place | Coppice Room

Typical of grand Georgian houses, an intimate candlelit sitting room, the room’s centerpiece, welcomes you into the understated style of the Coppice Room, with its delicate palette of sage and dusty rose, and views across the upper and lower lakes.

Heckfield Place | Friends Room

The most intimate rooms at Heckfield Place, Friends Rooms are the perfect spot from which to explore the estate’s rolling grounds and gardens, and our beautiful Hampshire surroundings.

Heckfield Place | Guest Room

Set mainly within the peaceful Corridors, The Guest Rooms are cozy and perfectly proportioned – providing everything you need to relax and reconnect.

Heckfield Place | Heath Room

One of Heckfield’s most secluded corners, nestled in the top of the House, the Heath Room is a divine hideaway with aspects to the East, South and West, and views across the lakes and beyond.

Heckfield Place | Lake Room

Positioned at the heart of the house and defined by a striking four-poster bed and luxurious separate sitting room, the Lake Room’s sweeping bay window offers a breathtaking panorama of the lakes and estate.

Heckfield’s finest space; a private apartment with vaulted ceilings, sitting and dining room, private terrace, and balcony with breathtaking views of the lakes, gardens, and surrounding countryside.

Heckfield Place | Master Room

With large living spaces, walk-in wardrobes, and most offering private outdoor areas for dining or relaxing, the Master Rooms are perfect for longer stays, representing the best of Heckfield.
