Of course, we don't set the rules, we can only advise on what we know from the latest official government advice (https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice), and we would always recommend you check this for any destination you are considering.
We also strongly recommend that you take out adequate travel insurance, which includes cover for the full value of your accommodation only booking with us.
Biostays is a “accommodation only” supplier. This means that your booking is not governed by the terms and conditions of an Air Travel Organisers Licence (ATOL) issued by the Civil Aviation Authority nor covered by The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018. Should you book with us, then we are not liable in any way for any other aspects of the travel arrangements that you have made or any amendments you may need to make on our other aspects of your travel arrangements.
Whilst Biostays customers are not covered by the Package Travel Regulations, and thus not entitled to a refund we do make a commitment in this Covid Promise to look at all the options available to you should you be unable to travel due to government advice 28 days or less prior to travel and do all that we can to help.
Please note that, feasibility of travel will be assessed 28 days or less prior to your travel date. Any cancellations prior to this date, as per our terms and conditions, would result in the loss of deposit.
You are entitled to change or cancel your holiday under the following circumstances:
In the case of you being unable to travel due to government advice 28 days or less prior to check-in date, our team discuss your options with you. We will always do our best to help you switch destinations or dates and will talk you through the different options we can take when the time comes. Your options will be one of the following:
We will not charge you an amendment or re-booking fee and we will negotiate with our hotel suppliers on your behalf but as detailed above if your change in dates result in a more expensive holiday you will be required to cover the difference in price at final balance stage. Likewise, if the new price is less than your original holiday, we will refund this amount to you.
The following situations are not covered as standard by our Covid Promise but we will all we can do to help. In these situations, the risks may well be covered by your travel insurance:
