Fogo Island Inn sits on an island, off an island, at one of the four corners of the Earth.
Every one of the 29 one-of-a-kind guest rooms and suites has dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows that open onto the wildest and most powerful ocean on the planet.
A stimulating relief from the numbing uniformity of modern times, the award-winning Inn is built on the principles of sustainability and respect for nature and culture. The Inn is a community asset, and 100% of operating surpluses are reinvested into the community to help secure a sustainable and resilient future for Fogo Island, Newfoundland.
Fogo Island is perfect for those adventurous souls who want to get away from the humdrum of city life and experience the raw nature of the Canadian coastline.
The Newfoundland Rooms are for up to two people, located on the 3rd and 4th floors.
The 3rd-floor Reverie rooms allow guests to experience the horizon as an unbroken line; spending long lazy afternoons in the Ineke Hans designed Get Your Feet Up reading chairs, on cool days with a wood fire burning and on warm days with the windows open to the fresh ocean air. The 3rd floor Newfoundland rooms have a bath, shower, and wood stove.
The soaring ceilings and drama of the 4th floor Skyrooms give a deep sense of oneness with the sky; these are places for up to two persons to pause and wonder – at the unexpected behaviour of light where this powerful landscape meets an even more powerful seascape on the very edge of the North Atlantic. These rooms are steps away from the rooftop lounge (a great place for stargazing) and the Inn’s Northern European-style rooftop sauna. The 4th floor Newfoundland rooms have a walk-in shower and wood stove.
